Lasting Impressions Gallery of Fine Arts was established by Kaye and Neil Cathro in the mid 1980's in the tranquil Sunshine Coast Hinterland township of Kenilworth. In the year 2000, ownership of the Gallery was transferred solely to director Kaye Cathro who has continued to maintain the gallery's success within the region.
An early traditional Queensland style building, the gallery comprises of three intimate exhibition spaces, one of which looks out through large floor to ceiling windows into a rainforest courtyard.
Through solo and group exhibitions the gallery has over the years presented a cross-section of work by established and emerging Australian artists, both local and interstate. With a long-term commitment to quality, Lasting Impressions has gained the reputation as one of the region's leading art galleries.
Among the artists represented is the internationally acclaimed wildlife artist Greg Postle who has been exhibiting solely with Lasting Impressions Gallery since he began painting professionally in 1987.
The gallery also displays in its range, quality pieces in glass and ceramic from around Australia.
Lasting Impressions also acts as the portrait commissioning house for professional portrait artist Lyn Diefenbach.
